TYPE: Peru. Without specific locality [western slopes of the Andes, fide Rolfe 1911], imported by L'Horticulture Internationale, Brussels, where it flowered in 1890, E. Bungeroth s.n. (holotype, not found; possible illustration of type, Lindenia 6: pl. 265. 1890).
